Pics: Jim McDonald's Coronation Street return

The tabloids today reveal details and picturse of Jim McDonald's return to Coronation Street.  With Peter in prison, he goes in search of some booze in the big house - and it turns out Jim McDonald is the one who supplies it.

The Mirror says that Peter doesn't have to look far, as his cellmate tells him about a inmate known as the Landlord who illegally sells alcohol to the prisoners.

Peter decides to pay him a visit, but imagine his surprise when the bloke he is looking for turns out to be none other than Jim McDonald, aka the estranged husband of Liz McDonald.

I know Jim MacDonald is in "prison" but I thought Peter Barlow was being held in "jail" while he awaits trial. How come they meet up in "prison"? Maybe things are done differently in the U.K. but I think that's the way in works here in Canada. Notice I said I "think" because jail and or prison will not be found on my resume.

It was the same thing when Gail was on remand and shared a cell with Tracy Barlow. Wouldn't happen in real life.

I have a question about Tina's murder and putting it here will hopefully get me clarification?

From an episode wayyy back last year ..... Episode 8155 (24th June 2013)

"Roy watches the CCTV footage with an exasperated Owen. He sees the figure of a man crossing towards the café but is unable to tell who it is."

Was the CCTV in the builder's yard? If so, where is it? Why didn't it catch Tina's murder?

Thanks!!

I don't care if it's completely accurate, it's an excuse for is to see Big Jim. Now he needs to be released and come back to the street!

I'm ok with it not being completely accurate as long as it's an excuse for Big Jim to return!

Anonymous at 18.48 has a good point. You would think the police would immediately check the cctv if only to say that nothing showed up. But there are a number of issues with this investigation:
- fingerprints shouldn't even have been brought up.
- Peter says nobody saw him in the ginnel, but Norris did. Have the police interviewed all the residents? A bit weak if they later ask Norris why he didn't come forward.
- the main one: why would Peter bother to kill Tina if, shortly afterwards, he confesses all to Carla?
