Speculation on Tina's demise

Oh, I do so like to speculate when a major plot is up and coming. I know the publicity machine surrounding Tina's death is skidding into overdrive, but Coronation Street isn't the only television show guilty of that by a long shot. I can easily ignore that and focus on the story and lead up itself.

With that in mind, I have some serious thought on what the outcome of this "mystery" might be, from the sublime to the ridiculous even if you think the culprit is already a given.

Is it going to be premediated? I'm leaning towards accidental, myself and not "murder" at all. Is there an "expendable crew member"?  It's all in fun, right?

Read more here and find out how I think this is going to play out.

It will turn out that her death is the result of toxic tanning product. The class action lawsuit will result in a major payout to her estate. We will also find that she made a will when baby Jake was born, making him her sole beneficiary. The money will rescue the Windstrongs from their present financial predicament.

I read a spoiler that said Tina tries to take a photo of Tony delivering gear to Barlows, and he stops her. Perhaps she gets in a row with some dodgy dealers and is silenced permanently by one of them. Of the regular cast, my money's on Rob. 1. He's supposed to have a lovely happy ending with Tracy. Soap law says no. 2. Marc B's contract hasn't been renewed as far as I'm aware. It will be accidental if it is Rob. Come to think of it, if it is accidental, it could be anyone.

I think we should wait until a sudden 'new character' appears, someone who will be dispensible. Has Tony's contract been renewed?, hope so, he is another good villan.

I vote that Rita gets fed up with Tinas using ways, she asks for more money and Rita poisons her with a chocolate lime from the Kabin. That way the drunk driver can also get sacked and written out.

Just -one- wish on my list. And that is 'soon'. Very soon. Yesterday?

I think it will be Peter who get the blame, but Rob is the killer.

All blame will be on the affair storyline characters but my money is on Dennis to accidentally kill Michelle as they argue over whats best for Rita.
Its all being set up on screen now with Dennis appearing more and more desperate.
Ah thank you! (bows and leaves)

Tina's father comitted suicide. She went into a serious depression after his death. Could her death end up being some sort of suicide (as a result of depression over Peter choosing Carla and his new family to be) that appears to be murder like what happened when Joe died, with Gail going to jail for his murder? The way these writers continuously recycle storylines, I wouldn't be surprised...

They introduced Steph's brother for a reason - IMO he's going to be the one to do her in.

Tina's father did not commit suicide. He drowned accidentally trying to fake his own death for the insurance $$.

Thanks for the correction. Yes, he did drown accidentally. I remembered his death had something to do with suicide - just forgot it was fake suicide. It was such an unforgettable storyline :) Mostly I was thinking about the death not being murder but looking like murder and someone being blamed for it.

I like there being a Tony, Tracy, Rob circle of suspicion because of Tina's meddling with their business and her affair with Peter being revealed will lead to mistaken accusations against Peter as well.

Like Smiley, I think Peter will be the one they think is the killer but isn't really. If Gascoigne is leaving, then after Tina is murdered they discover texts between her and Peter and he is wrongly arrested for the murder. Whoever is the real killer (Rob or Tracy) has to live with knowing he is in jail for it.
That way when Gascoigne decides he wants to come back to the show (as actors often do) then they can miraculously discover new evidence that shows it wasn't him and he returns to the Street
