How to make the most of the Coronation Street tour

Gemma and Michael who run the Coronation Street podcast Conversation Street have been on the Coronation Street tour this week.

There are some fabulous pictures on their facebook page and twitter @ConversationStr including this picture of Gemma and Michael with our blogger Tvor who has flown into the UK from Canada.

While they were in Manchester,  they recorded an audio diary of their experiences for you to enjoy, from their hunt for various filming locations, through to their slap up meal at Annies (the restaurant owned by Jennie McAlpine who plays Fiz on Corrie), to the tour of the old set itself.

The Podcast episode features interviews with Corrie expert and co-owner of Daisy Nook Garden Centre Mark Llewellin, the charming and knowledgeable driver from Manchester Taxi Tours John Consterdine, and the lovely Rachel, a tour guide from the Coronation Street set tour.

What are the security measures put in place outside the filming location for Phelan's mansion? Which Corrie character was nearly impregnated by a Hungarian violin player? And just how fragrantly scented is Jennie McAlpine in real life?

Find out the answers to these questions and more on Episode 90 of Conversation Street!
