New Coronation Street producer Stuart Blackburn gives a good video interview on the official Corrie website revealing some summer spoilers for us fans.
Before the spoilers though, Stuart says that his new job working on Corrie is an... "immense privilige, honour, my dream job, what I've wanted for years, there's so much to love about the show."
He talks about how Corrie's first episode in 1960 brought a sense of truth and honesty about working class lives to British TV for the first time and that he'd (and I love this quote) love to make: "A 21st century version of the first episode."
Spoiler-wise, he says there'll be massive storylines for the summer. There's Hayley leaving, bringing a massive (that word again) story for Sylvia, Roy and Hayley. "I cant wait to see it, it's going to be superb."
There's also stories coming up for Peter, Carla, Rob and Tracy and says fans should watch out for them.
And of course, as this is soap we knew he had to, and indeed he does - David will find out about Kylie and Nick and how the baby might not be his.
Stuart ends by saying that the Tina and the surrogacy storyline will bring massive (that word again) heartbreak for her, Tommy, Izzy, Gary and the whole Windass clan.
All sounds good to me, but there's no word on Rita's bon-bons. My guess is they'll be massive.

He doesn't mention a massive story for Stella? I live in hope.
And where are the humourous storylines, Stuart?
Stella's had a very busy spring with the Rovers storyline, so I think she will be quiet for months to come when she's back behind the bar
Cant wait for Carla's storyline
Collinson's storylines were explosive, Blackburn's massive. How about interesting, entertaining, heart warming, funny, gripping, realistic .....
I'll watch Hayley's exit but nothing else. I appreciate this blog for the heads up of stories. I have not watched for two weeks based upon the write-ups and don't miss it a bit.
Heartwarming that he didn't mention the Beige One but then maybe he reads this blog and thought better of it.... :0
Oh-Oh, will Tina lose the baby and then find out it was Tommy's after all.. :(
Looking forward to the Peter, Carla, Rob, Tracey storyline.
ChiaGwen, that's what I'm thinking about Tina's baby, too.
