State of the Street - January 2013

January was quite an eventful month on Coronation Street. Tyrone and Kirsty's relationship lurched towards the wedding that exposed his affair while she got to besmirch his good name.

Kylie's pregnant in a classic soap opera plot of "Who's the Daddy" while being blackmailed by the man that's out to rip her mother-in-law off of a considerable sum of dosh.

Leanne now agrees that she loves Nick more than anything, even Peter and Nick patched up his broken heart enough to marry her.

Read more about my views on these developments over here.

Anyone else get the feeling that Lewis's departure has been manhandled through the door marked exit? I laughed out loud (was I supposed to?) when Lewis hid under the table! A wonder Kylie and Nick didn't see his bum sticking out. I realise the whole story is meant to be taken with a pinch of salt - unlike the Faye story. The writers don't seem to know about the device of using a 'confidant' to hear the character's innermost thoughts. It would help this story along if Faye could have a chat with a teacher at school. All we've heard is Anna's view of what Faye must be feeling. So far, it's not working for me.

- Yeah, it was LOL funny! Well funny!

"A wonder Kylie and Nick didn't see his bum sticking out."

- Kylie was lying/sitting down, almost at his eye level, how could he dissapear 100%?
Hmm... Maybe it's because he's never been known to ask:
Does my bum look big in this suit?

That's what annoyed me. The desk is not one of those big wooden ones, it's barely there. Why couldn't Lewis have just overheard from outside the door or something?

There's always a convenient table or desk to hide underneath ...Fiz did the same thing at Ty's when Kirsty walked in with Emily .. it really is ridiculous that neither Kylie or Nick would see him...especially that giant beak sticking out!!

Surprised he got his hair hidden underneath the desk, its biggar than the Lion's mane on th Lion King! How is Kylie supposed to know Gail's bank password anyway?

Oh i wouldn't be surprised if Gail was fast and loose with her bank password and Kylie can look over her shoulder or get her to tell her what it is.

Lewis is being consumed with this scam to get back at Gail and not caring who he hurts in the process. My love for him has diminished somewhat :( ...though I still want him back after his break from Corrie in hopes he and Audrey can patch things up. LOL - Lewis' bum and mane of hair not being concealed...oh my.

I hadn't realised that Gail was a total dimwit, who wouldn't realise she shouldn't give her bank password to someone who sold her kid.
