Fab Photo Friday - September 21st 2012

It's Friday again so it's time for this week's fab Coronation Street photo. For no reason in particular, here's a picture of Dennis in the bath.

Elsie is chatting on her cellphone to her mom and Dennis is shouting out a 'hello, gran." Elsie always was ahead of her time.

Just wondering when Dennis was brought back to the street if he asked for a minimalist part? He's hardly ever in it and when he is it's not much more than a speaking extra (ish) :) I like him, can't understand why he isn't used more.

Agree Anonymous....why on earth did they bring Dennis back...he's only had very sporadic parts in a scene here and there. A waste.

I too wish Dennis was more involved with stories. Man, that photo sure brings back childhood memories of my parents' flat when I was very young! I remember those curtains in front of cupboards, I guess as that was cheaper than building doors. Heavy plastic table cloths (after oil cloths), and the arborite and chrome tables...

I wish Dennis had meatier storylines too. Let's hope he'll have some good input if/when Tina has to turn to Rita for the cash to get out of her deal with Owen.

Crazy to think that this was the bathing norm even in my mum's time. How the world has changed and very quickly. ;) Sort of odd to think a son his age would be sitting about washing with his mum at his right hand...

Why would Phil Collinson want to use Dennis Tanner? It will overshadow all the crap plots such as Michelle and her son Ryan, the whole surrogacy plot or anything to do with Stella.

Such a damn waste on a good character. I am still waiting for a reference to his family like Linda.
