We blogged here a while back that Lloyd's secret daughter was going to turn up on Coronation Street. And now we can reveal who will play Lloyd's daughter Jenna and his ex-girlfriend Mandy.
Lloyd's ex-squeeze Mandy will be played by Pamela Nomvete and Lloyd's daughter Jenna will be played by Krissi Bohn.
Corrie producer Phil Collinson said: "The story allows us to establish two terrific actresses alongside Craig Charles and create an instant 'new' family for Lloyd. Mandy is a warm and big-hearted character who has seen a lot of life and is always ready to dispense common-sense advice and wisdom. Jenna is a clever, educated young woman, whose life will be turned upside down as she struggles to come to accept Lloyd as her real father."

As they settle into a more permanent life in Weatherfield Mandy will find a home cooking at The Rovers Return and Jenna will be working at the local hospital.

Slightly disappointed by this. I was really hoping that Lloyd would get a chance to raise a kid himself - he's always been so good with the kids on the street and watching him adapt to having a child in his life would have been very touching with scope for a lot of comedy too. Can't really see how an adult daughter is going to be as interesting to watch really...
Poor Lloyd! He really deserves a chance to be a proper dad!
I too thought the daughter would be younger and would have been nice to see Lloyd with a child around. Not much younger than Cheryl then?
IT'll be nice to see a regular cook in the pub again, and i think i'd rather see a grown daughter than a bratty "tearaway" ... we have had enough of those.
Illness or death must be lurking round the corner. Of course, they couldn't let Lloyd be happy. Agree with Tvor, had enough of gobby teenagers, and feisty females come to that. Thank goodness, the daughter's got a proper job.
Either that or the girl will have a secret kid too and he'll find out he's not just a dad but a grandad!
Well, it is a shame that Lloyd didn't find out that he had a young child, as I agree the character would be great with that kind of situation. It will be interesting to see how a common-sense, advice-dispensing cook will fit in at the pub - let's pray she balances out St.Ella.
Yet more additions to an already over bulging cast with family members turning up out the blue. I like Lloyd as a single man and his bromance with Stevie baby, I just hope they are not more mouthy harridans or phcyo bitches.
Why can't he meet someone with a young kid and let the relationship grow? Why does he need an instant family? This just shows the flawed thinking. Plot, character, realism - all are subordinate to achieving publicity for the show.
