Chesney’s pushed beyond endurance. At the Windasses Katy unburdens herself to Anna who visits Chesney. While sympathetic she explains his girlfriend and unborn child need him now. The reality hits Ches but when Katy again says they can’t afford another operation he blows up. At the vets Schmeichel’s taken a turn for the worse and the vet suggests having him put to sleep. Refusing to consider it Ches takes his dog home but as he contemplates finding another vet there’s a knock on the door - it’s a bailiff!
Lloyd takes out his frustrations on Karl. As Lloyd struggles to deal with Cheryl’s betrayal Karl’s attempts to cheer him up don‘t go down well. Flying into a rage he tells Karl he’s sacked!
Matt’s embarrassed as Tina spars with Kirsty. As Tina prepares for dinner with Matt and his friends she can’t resist walking round the house in a towel in front of Kirsty. As Kirsty seethes Tina’s smug but the evening doesn‘t get off to a great start when Matt suggests her choice of outfit is a bit revealing.
Elsewhere Ciaran’s stunned when Michele reveals she’s loving being back on the street so much that she wants to stay.

Chesney says his final goodbyes to Schmeichel. Owen & Anna spot the bailiff on Ches’ doorstep and rush over urging him to come back tomorrow when they’ll sort something out. The bailiff reluctantly goes but Ches still can’t think straight as he watches his dying dog. Knowing only Katy can get through to him Kirk calls her round. It’s heartbreaking as Ches finally concedes Schmeichel needs to be put down and calls the vet. He’s overwhelmed by grief but vows to look to the future, aided by a phone call from Fiz.
Tina has the meal from hell with Matt and his ex. Tina feels sidelined by Matt’s uni mates and when one of the girls reveals she’s Matt’s ex Tina’s hackles rise, especially when Jenny belittles her job. Outside Tina lays into Matt for not defending her and when a passing PC asks if there’s a problem Tina turns on the copper, assuming they’re a mate of Kirsty’s. Mortified Matt goes, has Tina blown it? Back home Tommy comforts Tina but will she see he’s more of a match for her than Matt will ever be?
Steve’s there to rally Lloyd. Steve calms the situation with Karl by sending Lloyd home. But feeling for his mate he insists they go on a lads’ night out to help him forget about Cheryl.Elsewhere When Ciaran insists he wants to return to the cruise ship he and Michelle realise they both want different things in life.
