Anyone else enjoying the crackling sexual tension between Peter and Carla just now? Chris Gascoyne and Alison King are two of the main reasons I'm still watching Coronation Street, and they are both absolutely terrific at the moment. I particularly liked Carla's defiant toss of the head as she marched into the Bistro while Peter finished his ciggie in the doorway (he seems to spend half his life finishing ciggies in doorways) after their bitter exchange about cosiness and in-laws. No Peter - I can't see Carla "doing cosy" either, to be honest. And I hope she never does. I'd really like to see them have an on-off torrid affair, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
And by the way - can Peter Barlow rock a suit! He looked fabulous in last night's episode.

I disagree. I hate this story. Most of Peter's problems in the past are becaus he couldnt keep it in his trousers. He is in his 40s now no longer a young blade and he has Simon to consider, I cant see Carla collecting him from school and making play-doh with him somehow.
Peter oozes sexual tension whenever he's on the screen, and who wouldn't fall for him? But I've never bought the Carla character, and she's met the love of her life twice on the same street ...? Peter will obviously stray at some point - after all, he's a Barlow - but now's not the time. It's much more interesting to see a passion that's not consummated. He needs Ciaron back to confide in and get some sense knocked into him.
Yes, I'm also loving this storyline. It's the main thing that is keeping me watching, too. Alison King and Chris Gascoyne have great chemistry.
No. I agree with Blackie Bird. The cow eyes Peter keeps making at Carla is really making my blood boil.
I can't stand Carla in any shape or form and for Peter to be so disrepectful to Leanne is just not on.
Does Carla never shrink from marrying men she does not love just to spite the object of her real affections? Not only is this story repetative and unimaginitive, it is nasty and totally unbelievable.
Even Jane Danson could not make her confrontation with Stella after a couple of bitchy comments from Eva credible. She might as well have said: "I'm having a go at you now so I can be really guilty when you get run over in a few minutes". Jane Danson, Chris Gascoyne and Alison King deserve better than this rehashed, heavy handed, unbelieveable tripe.
Agree wholeheartedly with Adam and was was the moron Karl on again yesterday stomping around, saying Stella had "bent over backwards" for Leanne? EH???? John Mitche is another great actor that is not being used properly apart from to utter completely stupid dialogue!
Yes..Peter is a hottie but so is Carla and they are cut from the same cloth...both damaged goods. I am looking forward to a long torrid affair between these two as well...wouldn't that just look fine on Leanne..the two timing slag that she is...HA!!
Carla is by far my favourite Corrie character and I will enjoy this storyline when it finally makes its way to Australia. I would like Carla and Peter together because it would be more like a continuation of the story they were developing with Liam, before he decided to leave.
They might have an affair but they won't end up together there no story in it. Unless the writers want to really scrape the bottom of the barrel and have a retread of Trev the binman where Carla tries to turn Peter into Liam. Except Peter would tell Carla to stick it twice as fast as Trevor did and they'd be done in a week. Peter and Carla would be a disaster if they ever actually got together and Peter and Leanne have long term potential that will win out I bet money.
Hmmm... taking it all on board but I still reckon they'd make a great fiery Corrie couple.
Not so big on this storyline; very fond of the Peter/Leanne/Simon family unit. Really, what does it say about Carla that she is only "desperately in love" with unavailable men (paging Dr. Freud)? Bet she's bored and drop him like a shot if there were no obstacles...

I disagree I'm LOVING! Peter and Carla together! and yes! I still LOVE! Peter and yes! He's also still so HOT! and so SEXY! to Me don't even get Me started on what I'd LOVE! to do to! Him and have in My dreams oh! la la! He can kiss Me anytime and He can also ring My bell, He does this thing when He;s smoking a fag that drives Me CRAZY!
