Brace yourselves... The Daily Star reports today that Tracy Barlow will return to Coronation Street and leave Steve McDonald reeling by announcing she’s pregnant with his child following their one-night stand – again.
But the shocks don’t stop there for the pair. After a trip to the hospital with a particularly bad bout of morning sickness, it’s revealed there are two heartbeats. Twins!

Don't twins go down the matriarchal line, so there has to be twins in the Barlow clan, not the McDonald one (although there clearly are twins there) for this to even be remotely right. Maybe the Renshaw Twins are Deirdre's long lost sisters in diguise?
Ditto what Tvor said. Steve seems to have magical mystery sperm that only work in Tracy Barlow's womb.

That Steve would have bedded her again, let alone not used anything is far too far fetched to be credible. Of course even though she had a kidney transplant and is the wrong side of 30, Tracy has to be conveniently fall pregnant again on a one off. TOSH TOSH AND MORE TOSH.
Could be a good thing .... perhaps then the character could suffer the same fate as Cindy Beale!

i hate tracy and everything about her i dont know why she was brought back but this beyond a joke now
It's a soap opera standard plot, if ye have sex with someone you shouldn't ye shall become with child. Yeah, it was supposedly almost impossible for her to get pregnant but here it's happened twice. Now, that's not to predict that she went to London the night after she shagged Steve and shagged some old boyfriend there. There's no guarantee it could be Steve's children. I wouldn't put it past her.
Twins don't have to go down the matriarchal line, i've known people have twins who have not had twins in either side of their families. My father is a twin and my mother asked about that when she was pregnant. Doctor said not as likely but since her mother is also a twin, the doctor thought there was a good chance, seeing as it was on both sides. But no twins appeared. You just never know.

Fathers can be prone to having twins as well its just a lot rarer. Ken is probably one of them considering he has had(Daniel had a twin the died) two sets. Tracy is also supposed to miscarry although since Peter and Leanne just had one maybe she will only lose one baby so it not a total repeat? It would be more likely if it was Peter and Leanne though since it would be obvious where the predisposition came from.
The Kidney issue is dicey many transplant recipient are infertile(besides as someone once said infertility is the worst birth control ever) but not all of them. Especially since Tracy was so young when it happened her body was that much more likely to heal itself. Pregnancy is hard on the kidneys but again since Tracy has lived with this so long its not really different than someone born with one kidney having a baby. She would probably be labeled high risk but that would really be the only complication.
Tis probably best not to try to examine this under any realistic medical probability; I agree with Tvor, this is pure classic soap plot. Add to that, she's already had one child with him so how to up the ante on this storyline? Twins! Most likely actually belong to Jamie Baldwin or some other yahoo from London - perhaps Todd switched sides for the night? Wouldn't be the first time.
rubbish! another totally predictable story line from the amazing writers of coronation street. I have watched corrie for a while, and it just gets worse and worse.
