People have been complaining about the crime levels in Weatherfield as though this is a new phenomenon. Clearly they weren't aware of this recording, in which Julie Goodyear tortures and murders Nancy Sinatra's These Boots Are Made For Walking Lock her up and throw away the key!

Mind you, such epic lyrics as "you keep lyin' when you ought to be truthin'" would give even the most sultry-voiced warbler pause :(

I used to quite like that...
She's tried her best, but its not good enough to listen through twice. Take the excellent backing away, and she would certainly be rubbish. Her voice just hasn't got what it takes to go down the lower notes as she is not quite in tune. She's ideal for a karaoke though!
Maybe it's because she was a heavy smoker that is spoiling her voice from singing this normally well - sung song!
This is certainly a cover which leaves a lot to be desired!
I don't think she's any worse than Nancy Sinatra...they both crucified this song!!! Never could stand in.

Sorry Anonymous above (23 July 2011 18:06) as I disagree that Bet was the worst character ever, as there was some good moments with her. No, the worst acter or character I have found to dislike, is Becky McDonald. I just cannot stand it when she is on my screen, and I always put her on mute. I dislike the way she acts, and she was okay in the beginning, but she always acts the same boring way. She has spoilt it for Steve, as I used to always like watching him. I think she leaves next year, and I cannot wait to see how Corrie will be filmed without her. Infact, it will be back to the original way for me once she has left, and I do hope she never returns. At least we will see one less smoker.
