Has Becky endangered Sunita's life? Where is Max? Will Rita be found before the tram slips through the Kabin? Will Jason save Simon? Can Nick and Ashley save Peter before the viaduct gives way? All these questions might and might not be answered tommorow, but on thing is for sure, it's going to be amazing and emotional.

Sunita didnt look in great shape did she? If they are saying we wont know who dies until Friday how are they going to keep it all going?
I'm pretty sure Jason and Simon will get out ok, and I have a feeling that someone will come to Rita's aid...
I'm thinking that Sally is the one who saves Rita. I remember reading somewhere about an "old friend" coming to Rita's aid.
Can't wait for the rest of the week to unfold (and to watch it over and over in HD!)

Some things Im curious about? Where is Amy? Is anyone even watching her? Why arent they trying to go in BACK DOORS as opposed to digging through rubble in the front?
That said, these episodes have been so intense. Seeing all of this emotion and devastation just brings tears to my eyes. Absolutely amazing.
I think Amy was at a sleepover? How did Becky endanger Sunita's life? Didn't Sunita try to say Molly's name just before Becky left? I think Jason will save Simon. Where's Chesney & his gf? I think the scariest storyline is going to be Nick, Ash & Peter over the next few days.
Did anyone make out what movie Ashley mentioned when he & Nick were pulling out Peter from the rubble?
And where did everyone on the street suddenly get flashlights? Seems not one person doesn't have one!
I'm finding it hard to sleep this week too.
I am sorry but it was contrived over the top am dram acted rubbish, All the screeching and herioically running into burning buildings to save their neighbours, please! And where where the emergency services, Dr Matt aiding all the sick and injured and when one lone fireman turns up he is downright rude. The only believable scene was poor Gary Windass shell shocked after his horrors in afghanistan. A million quid for this tosh, Phil Collison should be sacked.

Maggie Muggins - the film Ashley was talking about was Ice Cold in Alex starring John Mills, Anthony Quale & Sylvia Sim.
I just hope Simon gets out - I adore him! Sunita and Molly look in a pretty bad way.
My absolutel fave moment last night was Graeme appearing, having visited a friend who wasn't doing too well after his gastric band OP - it's these little funny moments in the face of ultimate disaster that make me love Corrie!!
Chesney and Katy went to her flat to watch dvds i think.

Your opinion of course; my opinion is that you're in the minority.
I don't know that Frosty's opinion is in the minority. Most of us haven't personally experienced a disaster like a tramway crash or an earthquake (thankfully!) so the measures are all subjective. Entertainment value? Yes, certainly the episodes are entertaining... funny or dramatic or both...Molly screeching like a banshee with baby in hand while an out-of-control tram is in hot pursuit....
One would like to think of one's neighbors as being heroic and stepping up in moments like these to risk their own lives to save women, children, and babies... and other men but we don't know do we until it happens?
I, too thought the best, most realistic scene was Gary Windass -- suffering post-traumatic stress.
The rest of it was the adult-version of a thrilling ride at the fair -- or a grown-up adaptation of a teen horror movie. Entertaining AND over-the-top.
Well, I and millions of others thought it was brilliant, everything about it.
And by the way Frosty, if you were listening, the emergency services were all dealing with a massive RTA on the motorway.
UK viewers - don't forget that tonight's single half hour episode is on early at 7pm. It really is not to be missed ;-)
Becky might have injured Sunita more by trying to move the rubble on top of her, also, is giving her water the right thing to do?
I think in any emergency like this, i'm sure there would be some people jumping in to try to rescue people especially when it's their friends, family and neighbours. I can't see how a little water would have hurt Sunita all that much. It looked like she was very seriously injured and Becky probably didn't know what else to do.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, and though i am often skeptical myself, and not always willing to suspend disbelief, i found these episodes very good and "realistic" within the realms of tv at least. It didn't leave me thinking "Oh give me a break!". I know the actual crash was CGI. I know the tram driver was real and his reaction? stunned, shocked, people have said he looked silly. I don't get that, you don't know what your face would look like in that situation. I heard on the special Monday night that the driver actually survives which surprised me.
I"m really looking forward to the rest of the week, so far it's actually lived up to my expectations.
Agree with Anonymous (the one between 2 Dillys) about Gary Windass' PTSD. The camera work did a great job of showing his trauma. Also, Ken being held back - how frustrated was he when he was told and realized he was too old to help.
To me, the only silly bit was bringing Fiz inside the factory instead of the medical center around the corner. But Carla really stepped up, so I'll buy in for now.
when Tracy comes back they should just hand over Amy to her without a fight. It's not like anyone cares about here anyway. Tracy's crazy but at least she cares...

yes having Fiz in the factory was a bit odd but i suppose she was in such pain they couldn't move her very far. They did say it was all they could do to get her in there let alone down to the med ctr.
I agree with Frosty, it was a load of rubbish, and badly acted,Gary was the only one who reacted, the story lines have been bad for some time now,Rosie needs to relearn to act, and Sophie and her partner just mumble away, shame 'cause I've been watching it for the whole fifty years, wont be bothering anymore.
Ah Reno, don't say that...if you've been watching since the beginning it's a pity to leave now. I'm a new watcher, stumbled into the series after years of turning to the other channel when the theme came on. I agree the whole tram disaster has the feel of conrivance for nothing more than marking an anniversary and to shake things up after a long period of mediocre writing. But the subpar writing here is still pretty good compared to a lot of entertainment fare in TV and movieland these days. I've caught clips of the early episodes and I LOVE them -- the storylines are powerful and compelling even though the context is so down-to-earth, simple working class lives. Imagine the inner conflict of an ordinary neighborhood postman when he finds that his son will be dining with his new girlfriend at a hotel where his mom works for minimal wages... (there's class struggle right there on the dining room table in conversation across dinner plates!) or the son who comes out of one of UK's most prestigious universities but can't decide which world he now belongs to -- turns out it's an ongoing struggle as he belongs to neither. I wish the writers today could find the gold, the extraordinary in the ordinary lives and I wish they had the talent to transform them into high drama and comedy so that these momentary adrenaline rushes like the tram disaster, the factory fire, etc. aren't necessary.

And one more thing... there are reasons why in movieland, most disaster-themed movies are relegated to B-movies...
