I know she’s not everyone’s cup of acting tea, but I always love Margi Clarke’s appearances on Corrie as Tyrone’s mother, Jackie Dobbs.Jackie has her own barmy code of conduct. It’s ok for her to steal her darling son’s honeymoon tickets at his wedding, but it is not ok for anyone else to do him wrong. And Molly has done Tyrone wrong. Crashing into the corner shop like a pink-haired stormtrooper, Jackie confronted her erstwhile daughter-in-law, rather marvellously calling her a “plate-faced slapper with elevator knickers.” Jackie knows the type, you see – Jackie is the type.
If she ever gets hold of Kevin Webster, there won’t be much left of him apart from a few chest hairs and a smear of oil.

Let's hope Jackie and Deirdrie actually get a few scenes together this time. I never tire of Jackie bringing up their "jail time" at the most embarrassing moments. Maybe in front of George and his wife this time?
I so hope that Jackie finds out about Molvin SOON - her reaction will make all the cringing more than worth it. She's brilliant just now.
John that would be a great scene, Jackie gatecrashing one of the Barlow's "teas". Why has the theft of the tickets not been mentioned by anybody? It is the usual soap amnesia. Great line again from her yesterday to Molly about stocktaking - Prices Up, Knickers Down - LOL, just a shame the aunties werent in t'Rovers at that moment to witness it!! LOL

Yes, even though she sends a shudder thjrough me, I enjoy her in small doses. Now what I'd really like to see is more Jackie v. Aunty Pam ... Speaking of which, where is she?
